First Day of Preschool!

We made it through Day 1 of preschool. After this last picture was snapped there were a few tears from Brody (which led to a few tears from mommy) but the teacher said it took him about 3 minutes to settle down and start having fun. He says he had a good day and wants to go back tomorrow. Lets hope the morning is a little easier because mommy has to report for Day 1 of her new job right after drop off. Cross your fingers for no tears tomorrow!

Corn Days Parade

Grandma and I took the kids and met the Browns at the parade in Sleepy Eye. Brenley waved and said "Hi, guys" to every parade unit. Good for getting lots of candy!

Brody, checking to see what's coming next.

Enjoying a sucker.

Claire, posing. Pretty tan from the lake!

Everett was not in the parade, just making a candy run.
Brenley and Grandma took a long time to get back to the car because Bren was sitting down on random steps here and there. A beautiful night, and a good parade.

The Lake 2011

Brenley in the pool- she isn't as big a fish as Brody- but she still likes to swim:)

Brody on the other hand was in the pool almost every day! On the last day of vacation he went swimming all by himself and I just sat and watched him.

Warming up in the shower by the pool

Brody with Winnie- the resort dog. All the kids love Winnie, and Winnie loves all the food!

It was tough getting Brody in the tub since he was so busy playing, but blue foam soap helped one night.

Brenley, helping herself to some breakfast

Kids fishing contest

We almost caught the "monster" which was a four inch perch, but it looked huge compared to the minnows biting his worm

Boat ride time

And a camp fire

We played at the park...a lot!

Helping Grandma make cupcakes
Another year at Becker's Resort on Lake Winnie is in the books. Hard to believe this was Brody's 4th time up there. There was 26 of us from Minnesota, Iowa and Mississippi. The kids loved playing with their cousins and they are already missing seeing everyone. It was a busy, fun week. Can't imagine what it will be like next year with three kids:)

The Fair

Ryan had to work late, so Grandma and I took the kids to the fair for a while after daycare today. Some more cages for them to stick their fingers in!
Brenley loves a pony ride!

Brody was determined to do the big slide by himself and he says it was fun. Not sure this face looks totally thrilled!

The rides were pretty interesting. I wonder how old some of them are?

We enjoyed a shake after we toured the livestock barns, but it made Brenley really mad because it was too thick to suck through the straw and she refused to eat it off the spoon. Eventually it melted enough for her to drink it.

Guess he had enough fair! Kind of felt the same way.

Sibley Park

Grandma and I took the kids to Sibley Park today while Grandpa and Ryan worked on the boat. Brenley is the brave one and sticks her hand in every cage.

We remembered to bring some buns to feed the ducks, but ended up feeding the fish instead.

Not sure what she was doing - probably trying to fit under the railing!

Brody climbed the rocks.
Grandma just got a new prop and wanted to see what it looked like in pictures. We have just as many or more pictures of Brody and the parasol, but we will just share Brenley.

She wasn't exactly sure what to do with it and wanted to drag it around, but it will be a cute prop for the girls.

Brody actually stood still for a couple of pictures! Then he had one taken in the tree with the parasol. Then they were off!

Baby #3

A yawn:)
We went to the cities Friday night to get a sneak peak at baby number 3. I think he is going to fit in:) I will see if I can find pictures from the other two- I bet they are pretty similar!

Fishing!

Brody went fishing at the river bottom with Grandpa yesterday. He is pretty proud of this catch. Grandpa took the picture with his phone. Must be practicing to get the big ones up north!
