20 weeks!

Hard to believe this pregnancy is half over! Some days it feels like its flying by, other days December still feels pretty far away. We had our ultrasound last week and found out we are having a girl! This pregnancy has been a whirlwind of its a girl- its a boy- its a girl but I am now convinced we are having a girl! So convinced that we have started buying pink, and once you start its hard to stop! Brody says "WOW" every time I come home with more pink but he will love having a little sister! We are getting very excited to be a family of 4!

ITS A DANGEROUS JOB!

Apparently Brody thinks mowing our yard is pretty dangerous!

MOA FUN

Ryan took off early from work on Friday for my appointment so we took advantage of it and headed to the cities for some fun with Brody. We stayed in a hotel, went to Mall of America for Underwater World and Nickelodeon Land. Brody loved going on rides with daddy. They even went on a roller coaster. Saturday we did some shopping and came home. Ryan has been jealous of all the fun Brody and I have been having this summer, so it was nice for him to get to come along!

Doing some reading at the hotel before bed time:)

SLEEPY EYE AQUATIC CENTER

We headed over to the Sleepy Eye Water Park today with The Browns. It wasn't the warmest of days, but we think that helped keep the crowd down and it was busy enough the way it was!
All the kids really enjoyed the water park. Lots for little ones to do. The adults were a little chilly, but it was a fun day. Brody liked the slide and wanted to go down himself- but it went so fast I couldn't even stay above water at then end so he went down with mama lots of times. I am sure we will go back there again this summer.

LUCKY BOY

Brody has been fascinated with the big machines outside our house all summer. We sit and watch them work and wave to them every time they go by. Yesterday, the road grader pulled into the yard when we were outside and said that he noticed Brody seemed to like the all the chaos. He was nice enough to let Brody and I climb into the road grader and take our picture. Brody was in little boy heaven and he did not want to get out! The nice worker said we could do it again another time, since they'll be working on our road for the rest of the summer. What a great day for Brody.

NOW ITS SUMMER!

It officially feels like summer now that Brody got his first taste of sweet corn! It took him awhile to figure out what to do with it, but once we got the handles out he did a great job! I think it will be a favorite food for him, just like his mama:)

P-P-P- Pool

We filled the pool up again Saturday for the kids- and although it was a beautiful day when you were sitting in the sun, the pool did not get very warm. Claire loved it- didn't bother her one bit. Brody shivered and his lips turned blue and Everett cried to get in the pool-then cried to get right back out! As cold as it was they played for a pretty long time- then got the sprinkler out and played some more!

TOP IT OFF

As if we didn't do enough over the 3rd and 4th of July- my cousin Josh also got married! The wedding was the 3rd in Cambria and the reception was the 4th in Mankato. Josh and Lindsey had very cool decorations at their reception and we got to watch the fireworks in Mankato. Brody was getting tired but he made it!

I stole these pictures off of Maizie's facebook- sorry they came out different sizes. CONGRATS TO JOSH AND LINDSEY!

ANIMAL SOUNDS

A few explanations:

Giraffe- do you know what a giraffe says? I have no clue but in a book Brody has it says "munch munch" and after feeding the one at the zoo that is what we are sticking with!

Pig- he snorts really cute, but its not very loud.

Alligator- again, from his book- the alligator goes "snap snap" so that is what Brody is attempting!

15 MONTHS

Brody is officially 15 months old today. His stats according to the doctor today are:
31.5 inches (64th percentile- can you believe it!)
24lbs 2oz ( 45th percentile)
Doctor says he is one perfect little boy! He got three shots today and barely even made a noise until the last one- and then it was just a whimper. For being such a good boy he got a new toy! And what fun he had with it. Definitely worth the money for this one.

4th of July

July 4th is a big deal to us Cambria folk. There is so much to do for people of all ages. The festivities even begin on the 3rd. Schell's held their Tall Tales and Legendary Ales promo at Preri Bach and then there was a street dance before and after the fireworks. Saturday there is a parade and patriotic program. Brody's highlight this year was being in the parade with daddy and Bompa. He did a great job waving at the crowd and throwing candy. This will be a first of many 4th of July parades for him!

SWIMMING WITH DADDY

Ryan had the day off on Friday so we took Brody back to the kiddie pool. Ryan gets a bit jealous that I get to do all the fun stuff with Brody during the summer-he was glad he got to join in this time. Ross, Lisa, Claire and Everett joined us as well. The kids had a blast and it was
a great way to start the Holiday weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUDSON!

We went to see Hudson and Ashley tonight and to celebrate Hudson's 1st Birthday! I think now that's its July his Birthday might be coming to an end! Brody loved running around someone else's house and really enjoyed playing with Bella. Hudson and Brody shared snacks and mostly played nice-Brody is getting to be quite a bit taller than Hudson so he still thinks he is the boss. The boys get to see each other at daycare-but its nice for the moms to watch them play together too! To top the night off, we got Hudson presents he doesn't already have:)

BIG BOY

Brody is getting to be such a big boy- he now likes to use his own utensils at meal time. He is pretty good with the fork, can stab things and get them to his mouth most of the time. The spoon is a bit more tricky. And most things you eat with a spoon are kind of messy. But practice is good- and bibs are great! Here he is eating pudding all by himself!

MY VERY OWN POOL

We finally blew up Brody's pools last week when it hit 90 a few days in a row. He enjoyed swimming for a little while- but had the most fun getting out of the pool and getting back in. I am sure we will be filling this pool up many times over the summer! Thanks Uncle Nate and Auntie Heidi!
