If it's Saturday...

 

we're swimming! Both kids did a great job today. And since it was Ryan's turn to go in, of course the pool was warmer. Brody did a really great job today - any place with boats is great for him. He has been wanting to know his teacher's names for a while, so today after swimming he had Mommy ask for him. Thanks, Adrian and Ally! Grandma will have to take a picture of the gallery some day - we always have the most fans. Today, Grammy Tammy and Poppa Kevin, Grandpa and Grandma Jones, and Taid were all there to watch.

Back to Normal

 

It took a while, but Brenley is back to normal after her stomach virus earlier this month. This girl loves to eat!

 

She is really enjoying her poofy corn with Grandma Friday night. Brody, Ryan, and I went to the SESM basketball game, where they were both pretty surprised to find out it was a girls' game:). The first thing he told Grandma when we got home was, "no boys, Gamma, just gools". Brody enjoyed it anyway - especially the treats, and Mommy and Daddy time.

 

Of course, Bren also had time for her other passion, talking or texting!

Breakfast at Grandpa's

 

Brody has found a lot of treasures upstairs at Grandpa's house. We really thought he had found them all, but today Boat Boy hit the jackpot!

 

He can't say "cheese", it has to be "boat".

 

Brody has lots of "tatoos" since Valentine's Day (see the butterfly on his cheek). These things don't come off! Today Grandpa said he had some more tatoos for Brody. This is what he came back with:).

 

Brenley mostly wanted to cuddle this morning. Not like her at all, so I hope she is not getting sick again - we are so over that!

Mommy's Turn

 

It was Mommy's turn to go swimming with Brenley this morning and wouldn't you know, the pool was cold today! Both of the kids did a great job. Brody even talked to the teachers today!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 

Happy Valentine's Day from the Nordbys. Brenley got more pics today because she sat nice. Brody gave Grandma one or two, then decided to do headstands, somersaults, etc.! Hope your Valentine's Day is great!

BINKY UPDATE

 

Even if he doesn't look too thrilled here, Brody loves his new boat and he is doing so good without his binky! He has been a little restless at night, takes him longer to fall asleep, but once he is out, he's out all night (except last night when he must have had a dream, because he woke up and made me put his coat on him at 3:00 AM). We are so proud of him! He has amazed us with the stuff we thought would be really hard (big boy bed, potty training, binky) he really is such a big boy! He was looking at the blog last night, and saw the picture of him with his binky and said "that's when me was a baby and had a binky"

Grandma bought the kids new sunglasses for summer. They couldn't wait that long to try them out, so they wore them in the bouncy house tonight! 

Big Day!

It's a big day at the Nordby house. The Binky Fairy is coming tonight to take Brody's binkies to all the little babies that don't have any. She sent a letter to Brody that said he can have a new boat if he will be a big boy and give up his binkies. He has been putting stickers on this chart until the night she is coming. He is very excited about it. Have no idea how it is going to go!

Just in case we forget how he looked for a good portion of his early life. The binky has been a good friend to all of us at times:).

Ben, Amanda, Braylon, and Porter came over for the first half of the Superbowl. The kids had fun playing toys and bouncing in the bouncy house. Thanks for coming. As Brody said, "Let's do that again!"
