PJ PALS

Brody and Hudson showed up to daycare Monday morning in the same jammies! Those two are going to really give Shell some trouble in the years to come.

NICE OUTFIT

Getting ready to take a bath, dancing around the house naked with your mom's shoes on. Pretty normal behavior at our house!!

CATCH UP

Brody has been very busy lately (mama too!) He started school last week. We go to ECFE once a week and Hudson, Dirk and Everett are all in the same class. In fact, his class is ALL BOYS! Those poor teachers.

We also took Brody to his first football game on Friday night. It was St. Mary's Homecoming and while Brody enjoyed running around and eating lots of snacks the football team didn't do so well. We watched dance line perform at half time and then called it a night.

Brody's favorite toys to play with are now his tractors! He even got a new combine just like the one Grandpa has. He pushes them all over the house and even takes them to bed with him (and to the bath, and in the car, etc).

DID I MENTION...

Brody likes climbing on things?

UP HIGH

Brody enjoys climbing on everything. Kitchen chairs, the couches, and apparently ladders. That's safe right!

FEEDING MY...EVERETT?

Usually Brody shares his extra food with Darby, but Saturday night Everett and Claire came over to play so Brody shared with EJ instead:)

POTTY

We haven't really started potty training but lately when Brody takes a bath he grabs his "boy" and points the the potty. Rather than holding him on the big boy potty we bought him his own potty chair! Plus I had a coupon! As much as he wanted to sit on it the first few days I can see the benefits of potty training in the summer, that way he can run around diaper-less all day long!

MAMA, WHAT'S IN THERE

We have been slowly trying to at least somewhat prepare Brody for the arrival of his baby sister. He has a baby he likes to give hugs and kisses and Grandpa even showed him what it would be like to have a baby is his tummy. Brody likes his new book- Mama, What's In There? but I think if he had the choice he'd want the puppies to come out of mama's tummy! Good thing we have a few months left.

PARTY

We went to our neighbor's 60th Birthday Party over the weekend. Brody enjoyed running around and seeing all of the animals, listening to Uncle Nate's band play, drinking 1919 root beer (by the end of the night he would walk over to the beer trailer in hopes to fill his own glass, only once did he get deer brand by mistake!) and riding the golf cart. To prove how much he liked to ride the golf cart I took a picture of him riding with Danny and Phil- Brody is one brave kid!

BABY BRADY!

Brody got to meet his newest cousin Brady Thomas Stearns. He is so cute and so little. Brody wanted to play with him, he tried giving him some rocks, playing with his shoes, and thought about sharing his root beer with him! I was pleasantly surprised with how nice Brody was to him- lets hope he is like that with his sister!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!

A post about Ryan and I...how rare! We went out last Friday night for Mark's Sweet 27th Birthday Bash! We took a hummer limo around to small town bars in the area. Even though I got stepped on, spilled on, and piano played on my pregnant belly I actually had a really good time. I did get to go home by 11:30 so that may have helped! I also had to take a shot- everyone got cherry bombs so they made me take a grenadine bomb! I am all about the kiddie-cocktails but even that was a bit much for me. Thanks for the great night Mark!

BODY PARTS

Brody has been doing his body parts for awhile now, I just keep forgetting to take a video of it. He has a few other parts he likes to play with, especially in the bath tub but I left that off! We are working on head, shoulders, knees and toes now. I will post that video once he has it down.

CITIES

We spent a fun day in the cities on Saturday. First Brody got to explore a toy store in Maple Grove that had a lot of ride on toys for the kids to try. The bike was Brody's favorite.
Then Ryan, Brody and I along with Grandma and Grandpa Jones, Uncle Nate and Auntie Heidi and Mary Ellen went to an ultrasound place where we got to see Brody's little sister. It was really neat to see her. I wish I could take a sneak peek like that every few weeks! In the first picture she is rubbing her eyes and the second picture is mainly her face with some cord below her mouth.

After lunch we went to the Minnesota Zoo to wrap up our summer "stay-cation." Once again Brody loved the zoo and all of the animals, especially the farm. He hardly spent any time in his wagon maybe next time we will just leave it at home so he doesn't have to pull it around!

Hope you all had a great Labor Day Weekend!

FRIDAY FUN

Fridays are mama and Brody days since I don't work on Fridays. Today after hair cut and lunch we went to play at Grandma's school. The park at Jefferson is great for little ones- Brody can do all of it by himself. We also played in Grandma's room with her whiteboard markers and blocks. Brody likes it at school- its a great place to run and play.

ANOTHER HAIRCUT

Brody got another hair cut today. I swear he gets one a month, his hair grows so fast! I told him he needed to sit like a big boy and then he could have a treat. He took the directions very well and sat so seriously during almost the whole hair cut. He just studies himself in the mirror. Today for a treat he got Smarties- they may be a new favorite!
