Bayler

Bayler hasn't been in many pictures lately - too little for the holiday hullabaloo. He got to spend a day with Grandma this week and get a few new pictures. He is really enjoying his new seat that he got for Christmas.

OUCH

Brody has had some rough times the past few weeks. A few black eyes last week, a fall up the stairs (yes, up) tonight which left him with a bloody nose and a real doozy today. He managed to get a cornea abrasion, basically a scratch on his eye. The eye doctor was impressed with the size of it! We have drops for pain and to prevent infection and he should be back to normal next week. I thinking the kid could use a helmet and some safety glasses:)

We had a wonderful Christmas weekend. Started out Christmas Eve morning at Grammy Tammy's. After a quick nap we were off to church in Lake Crystal (with Justin Morneau) and presents at Taid's. Christmas morning we quickly celebrated with our family of 5 before the Jones side joined us. We made a quick trip to St. James that afternoon to see the Nordby's and ended the evening with presents at Grandma and Grandpa's! It was busy, but the kids were so good and loved their gifts and spending time with family. Thanks to all who made it a memorable Christmas.

Gingerbread Houses

Brody and Brenley each made their own gingerbread house earlier this week. They really had fun with it, and only snuck a few bites of candy while building their masterpieces!

The Wizard of Oz

Grandma, Brody, and I went with the Meredith side of the family to see The Wizard of Oz at the Children's Theater on  Sunday. I wasn't sure how Brody would do, but he was so good and he loved it! He got to sit next to Cousin Abby, which he really wanted to do. He is kind of a flirt:). His favorite character was the lion, and he has next Halloween planned out with parts for the whole family. We even got to see a star of the show when we were leaving. We ducked out a back door to get to the parking lot faster, and Toto was having a potty break!

Birthday!!

Shelly sent me this picture of Binki (Brenley's daycare nickname) and her girls. Bren celebrated her birthday at daycare yesterday. It's different for Shell to have so many girls but Binki loves it, as long as her Brach is there too:) Let's hope Bayler likes the girls too because he starts daycare on Monday.

An overdue update on the kids-
BRODY:

Brody is still loving preschool. We had conferences a few weeks ago and were so proud to hear he is doing everything they expect of him! Brody is also loving his monster trucks, working on his Christmas list and taking care of his baby brother.

BRENLEY:

Brenley is busy preparing for her 2nd Birthday. Its a whole different two than we experienced with Brody. Its emotional, dramatic, snotty, mischievous and amazing! Her vocabulary blows my mind daily! The picture above is from spaghetti supper, which she thoroughly enjoyed!

BAYLER:

 Bayler has given us quite a few smiles! He is mostly a happy baby unless his brother and sister disturb him too much and he misses his nap. He is so strong too, even rolled over a few times during tummy time. We have been busy getting extra snuggles in because mommy goes back to work soon:(

Happy Thanksgiving! We sure have a lot to be thankful for!

This is so not the picture we were going for, but after 15 minutes of trying to wrangle everyone into positions they didn't want to be in, we took what we could get. Bayler was tuckered out by then, but I kind of like the "natural" look!
