BABY SISTER?
Brody decided he would rather have a baby pumpkin than a baby sister- so with a little help from daddy (and washable markers) we turned my baby belly into a pumpkin!

ECFE HALLOWEEN PARTY
We took Brody to the ECFE Halloween Party Friday night. He wore his puppy costume for awhile, but I only got one decent picture. The rest of the pictures are of his back or his side, he was moving too fast for me to get a decent one of the whole costume. When it was time to play games and do crafts he needed to take the puppy head off so he could concentrate! We had a good time, and Brody is excited to be a puppy again this weekend.

CARVING PUMPKINS
CHUCK E CHEESE
We took Brody to Chuck E Cheese on Friday night while we were in the cities. There was enough action to keep Brody entertained even though he was getting pretty tired by the end of the night. I, on the other hand, think we can say "been there, done that" for Chuck E Cheese until he gets a little older!

UNCLE NATE'S BOOT CAMP
Nate and Heidi watched Brody on Friday for a bit while my mom and I did some shopping. An 18 month old and a puppy are a lot of work, but Nate found a way to wear them out!

HEY HUDSON!!
I can say I was only somewhat surprised to come home from work and find Brody is Hudson's clothes! Sometimes Shell gets confused when she dresses the boys. Even though the pants were a little short and the top a bit tight Brody had fun playing in Hudson's clothes. Poor Hudson was probably drowning in Brody's pants: )

ECFE
Ryan came with to school tonight so I actually had a chance to take some pictures of Brody having fun. Tonight's activities included playing with play-dough, painting pictures, singing songs and blowing bubbles. Brody is still enjoying school. He can be pretty shy while we are there, and still likes to have mommy (or daddy) close by but he does like playing with his friends.

COMBINE
Brody finally got to take his first combine ride of the harvest season. If he had his way, he'd still be out in the tractor with Grandpa right now. On the way out to the field every tractor we passed had Brody calling out for Bompa. He was getting very angry with me for not stopping. He loved being in the combine and watching the beans go from the field into the back window. His favorite part was when we would drive to the tractor and wagon to empty our load.

Brody would find a few beans on the floor of the combine and lean out into the slanted window to drop his bean down into the field. He would then turn around and watch "his" bean get dropped into the back.
This is what he does when I ask him to smile- which is why I don't do it often: )

WE'RE GROWING
Brody is your average 18 month old considering weight and height. He was 32.5 inches tall (57 percentile) and 26 pounds (54 percentile). The doctor said he is doing everything and more than an 18 month old should be doing! He only had to get one shot (they were out of the seasonal flu vaccine, so we will be going back for that) and that is it for vaccinations until kindergarten. That was the best news all day.
My appointment went well too. Baby is growing just like she should be. I am still feeling good, just getting more and more anxious/excited to be the mother of two amazing kids. I start going to the doctor every two weeks now, so the remaining 7-10 weeks will hopefully go by fast.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAID
We celebrated Grandpa Clair's 80th Birthday on Saturday night. The party at the legion had great food, great friends and family, and great music. Brody was a little shy at first, but once he warmed up it was go go go. He even stayed up until 11:00! He spent the night dancing to Nate's band, playing with balloons and just running around the legion. My feet sure hurt by the end of the night from chasing him, I can't imagine how his little legs felt.
GUS-GUS
Nate and Heidi got a new puppy which means Brody has a new friend! Gus is an English Bulldog and he is just the right size and speed for Brody. They had lots of fun playing together and Brody enjoyed sharing his toys with Gus. Ryan thinks Brody should get a puppy for his 2nd Birthday- me, not so much!
