Swimming, Day 2

The second day of swimming lessons was Saturday. Brenley didn't go because she had a runny nose and a low fever the end of the week. Brody started with a big, quivery lip again and made two trips to the bathroom in the first five minutes. Then he warmed up pretty quickly, and as long as Mommy stayed close to the pool, he did great!

McDonald's

 

Ryan went snowmobiling on Saturday, so we were looking for something to do. We went to McDonald's in St. Peter and stayed for two hours! Brody had a blast. We even heard him talking to a little girl about which slide she liked best - so cute! Brenley was a little ticked that she couldn't go in the slides - she is screaming at the top of her lungs! Pretty good entertainment for the price of a couple happy meals!

Just Practicing

Ryan and my dad were fixing my mom's background stand this morning, so we checked it out to see if it was right. When we get a decent one I wish we would have had on more coordinated outfits!

Swimming Lessons

The kids started swimming lessons in Lake Crystal this morning. Brenley's class starts at 8:00!

She loved it, and cried when she had to get out.

Brody went to class for the first time by himself. It seemed so strange to see him sitting there.

Brody is really shy in new situations. He did a really good job, but it wasn't always easy.

Right after class I asked him if he was coming next week and he said, "I don't think so." But a little later he was talking about what color boat he wants next time, so I think he will go back. He is really growing up!

Sunday Breakfast

 

We go to Grandpa and Grandma's a couple times a month for Sunday breakfast. We don't even have to get dressed!

We went to the Johnson's after skating. Katie, Olive, and Jenny joined us for a playdate. Paxton and Brody liked the same combine.

Skating!

 

Nate took Brody skating for the first time this morning. I wasn't sure how it would go, but he loved it! Here he is standing for the first time.

He did great for being two! Not quite ready to commit to a hockey future just yet, though:).

Party of Five

 We were a family of five for a couple of days when Bryn, our daycare provider's daughter came to stay at our house. The kids had a blast Friday night, but stayed up pretty late. Saturday we went to the Mall of America for a little fun.

 

This was Brody and Bryn's favorite ride. They were laughing hysterically and went on it four times.

Grandpa Daycare

 

The grandparents did daycare for us this week as Shel was in Mexico. Grammy Tammy was here on Monday and Tuesday, and Grandpa had them on Wednesday and Thursday. Brody and Grandpa cut out pictures of combines, tractors, sprayers and some other things I can't name (but he can!). Thanks for helping out!
