Brody took his equipment to Grandpa's today to finish the storm clean-up.

Can't Resist
Brennie stayed with Grandma for a couple of hours today, and you know what that means. Despite the look, and being obviously bored with it, Grandma waited her out for the smile.

Zoo Fun!
On Monday Nate and Heidi, my mom, the kids, and I went to Como Zoo with the Browns and the aunts, Mary Ellen and Marla. It was sooo cold in the morning we had to buy sweatshirts for the kids at the gift shop. By mid-afternoon it was much nicer.
This is where we had to wait for the people in front of us to take their nice group portraits. Then we took our perfect shot.
Just to make sure you know that Brenley is along.
Everett and Brody enjoyed the rides, including getting their brains scrambled with Uncle Nate on the teacups. Hope there's no permanent damage:).
Brave girl, Claire, went on all the big rides!
All in all, a very fun day. Two kids slept all the way home.

The Escape!
As we started the clean-up Saturday morning, it became clear that we were not going to get our power back any time soon. Friends that came to help at Wint's told us that they had heard four days! Without power, we had no water, no air, really no anything! We already had plans to go with family to Como Zoo on Monday, so Mom and Brenley and I decided to head to Uncle Nate and Aunt Heidi's Saturday afternoon. Brody stayed home to keep Ryan company, then they met us on Sunday.
Brenley had fun listening to Uncle Nate play guitar,
playing with Gus,
and just hanging out.
Brody, being silly with Grandma's glasses. More on our trip to the zoo later.
The Clean-up
We had lots of small branches and leaves down, but nothing too major. This is the yard between my parents' house and Swenson's next door. They got a lot of help cleaning up Saturday afternoon.
My Uncle Wint lost a lot of trees, including this one which was right at the end of the driveway and shaded the house.
We are just really thankful not to have more damage. This place is about four miles southeast of us.
Stormy Weekend!
This is what the skies looked like over Cambria and our house Friday night.
Brody's swing in one of the few times we came upstairs for a peek. We were in the basement for a couple of hours.
After the storm!

Rainy Day Fun
Brody got fingerpaints for his birthday. This sprinkly morning seemed like a good time to try them out. Everything started out great,
but of course, progressed to this!
The clean-up.

First Skinned Knees
Brody wiped out in the driveway this morning and skinned both of his knees a bit. He was crying pretty good, but he is also getting used to Grandma having her camera out. When she told him she was going to take a picture of his owie, he stopped crying and said, "Picture two knees, Mamma."
Duck Days - Day 2
Brody, riding the ponies. He named his "Cowboy".
Claire, climbing the wall. They had 4 or 5 big blow-up play things, but we decided Brody was just a bit too little this year. Next year!
Brody getting the turtles ready to race. We didn't win, but Everett's turtle got second place.
Brenley and my cousin Brian's little boy, Brady. He is three months older than she is.
Gus, meeting the goats.
Brody in the corn pit. He had a blast and played there for a long time. The night ended with fireworks at our own private viewing spot on Grandpa Jones' bridge. We didn't get any pictures, but Brody loved them. He was so excited on the way there - not often he gets to go out at 9:30 at night. Can't wait for more fun on the 4th!

Duck Days, Day 1
Duck Days kicked off with the annual parade on Friday night.
Ryan and Brody, waiting for the parade.
Dylan, rocking with the community band.
Part of the crowd at Taid's.
Brenley enjoyed most of the two hour parade with a short nap in the middle.

Yikes!
We saw a big bull snake by my parents' house on Memorial Day. Tonight Brody and Grandpa found what it left behind.
Sibley Park
We went to Sibley Park today with Dee and her grandchildren, Carson and Abby. The kids enjoy the animals and the playground there.
Slip'n Slide
Everett brought his new slip'n slide over for some fun yesterday.
Claire was the only one who got the "slide" part.
That water is cold!
Everett in the 3D goggles.
Brody, cooling off.
Baby got a few sprinkles which she did not like! She was kind of like a spider monkey baby for a while. Thanks for the fun, Browns!
