UPDATE

Just want to apologize for no blog updates- for some reason I can't sign in while I am in the hospital. It was nice to be home today. Ryan and I took Brody swimming. We hadn't been in awhile and it was fun to see him swim like a fish. He cried when it was time to get out. No pictures, because my computer at home is SLOW and mom has the laptop.

While we are in the hospital blog updates will be minimal, but check in on Brenley's progress at

BRR!

The snow is here- and Ryan and Brody are enjoying it. Brenley and I stay inside where its warm. These two nuts like being outside!

HAIRCUT

You know its time for a hair cut when Brody gets a mohawk in the bathtub!

BABY STUFF?

Brody has been checking out all of Brenley's things- making sure they are safe for her I am sure!

SANTA IN COURTLAND

Santa came to visit Courtland. Brody wasn't too sure of the man in red, but once Santa held Brenley he got close enough to check him out. Brody liked the horse rides much better!

CHRISTMAS TREE

Brody wanted to help daddy set up the tree.

BRENLEY'S ROOM

BIG BROTHER

Brody absolutely adores his baby sister. When he wakes up in the morning she is the first thing he looks for. Every time he sits on the couch he pats his lap- thats his way of telling us he wants to hold her.
There are so many cute pictures- I will have to download them all on a site and post the link. Here are just a few!

BRENLEY ELIZABETH

Just a sneak peak. Brenley was born at 8:02 pm (I was 4 cm at 6:00- so it went pretty fast!)

6 lbs 0.7 oz
19.5 inches long

BABY!

Just wanted to update quick- we are at the hospital getting ready for Brody's baby sister to make her appearance! I will try to update when I can.

I have to post pics from Disney Live- Ryan got free tickets from work so we took Brody yesterday. He loved it, and I cried!

PARADE OF LIGHTS

Nate, Heidi, Grandma, Lisa, Claire, EJ, Brody and I braved the cold and went to the Parade of Lights Friday night. It was a first for most of us. Brody loved the horses and puppies (especially the one on the snowmobile!) and he kept waving to Santa even as he was half way down the block. I think my mom has some better pictures, I will add them later.

We also went to Plaza for supper before the parade. Brody felt the need to put the lemon in his mouth again and again!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We went to John and Janice's for Thanksgiving. Brody's favorite part of the day was eating pickles! He hasn't shown a huge interest in them before, but today he proved to have Jones in his blood! He also liked watching the birds out the window and tackling Dylan, with the help of Everett, of course!

NO HELP NEEDED

Brody has been into taking showers lately and tonight he wanted to take one by himself!

BABY SHOWER

My coworkers were gracious enough to throw a baby shower for me and another teacher who is due in February. It was a very nice shower with great food and wonderful presents! A perfect way to spend my last day at work until March 15th!

COUSINS OR WRESTLING PARTNERS?

After going out for supper Friday night, Lisa and the kids came over to play while Mary Ellen was at our house. Brody and EJ really do have fun together and for the most part they play well. One of these days Everett is going to realize he actually is bigger than Brody and then maybe he won't let Brody boss him around so much. Trying to get a picture of the boys was a challenge, they were not a fan of sharing this step stool- but they did their best to behave while the camera was on them!

BAD BLOGGER

Sorry for the lack of updates- we've been busy around here! Ryan and Dylan have been working on the basement, making a bedroom for Ryan and I so the baby's bedroom can be upstairs. I've been busy gaining weight and getting more and more ready to be done being pregnant and Brody has been busy watching his tractor movie (over and over) and getting time-outs at daycare!
No great pictures- just Brody is his nerdy-I mean cool- new jammies! I will try to get some pictures over the weekend.

CAMBRIA BURGER

Brody having his first bite of a Cambria Burger!!

FALL FUN

We have really been enjoying the weather the last couple of days. I wish it would stay like this until December 23rd- then a little snow for Christmas and back to this weather in January!! Brody and Ryan mowed the lawn on Sunday, and Brody really likes playing in the leaves and chasing Darby around outside. Hope everyone else is enjoying this fall weather!

HALLOWEEN NIGHT!

We had a busy but fun-filled Halloween! We (me, Ryan, Brody, my mom, Nate, Heidi and Gus!) started trick-or-treating in New Ulm and made stops at Grammy Tammy's, Hudson's, Mark's Shell's and Maizie's. Then we headed to Lake Crystal and went to Papa Jones', Marla's, Taid's and John and Janice's. Brody was quite the trooper and made out pretty well. It felt more like Christmas rather than Halloween! Thank you everyone for the candy and gifts. Brody is truly one lucky boy.

BABY SISTER?

Brody decided he would rather have a baby pumpkin than a baby sister- so with a little help from daddy (and washable markers) we turned my baby belly into a pumpkin!

DAYCARE HALLOWEEN!

Here is Brody with his daycare buddies at their Halloween Party!! We are lucky to have such a great daycare provider, and Brody loves playing with his friends.

ECFE HALLOWEEN PARTY

We took Brody to the ECFE Halloween Party Friday night. He wore his puppy costume for awhile, but I only got one decent picture. The rest of the pictures are of his back or his side, he was moving too fast for me to get a decent one of the whole costume. When it was time to play games and do crafts he needed to take the puppy head off so he could concentrate! We had a good time, and Brody is excited to be a puppy again this weekend.
