11 Months!

It is so hard to believe that Brenley is 11 months old! The closer we get to her birthday, the more I think about the night we almost lost her and about how blessed we are to have this amazing little girl!

This little peanut weighs about 18 pounds. She does love to eat and has a sweet tooth. She is pretty happy most of the time, but has started working the drama a bit lately and is a little over-the-top sometimes when Brody barely touches her. She also loves to wait until he isn't around and then will head straight for all of the things he doesn't let her play with when he is!

Halloween Party!

We took the kids to the ECFE Halloween party in New Ulm last night. It is always a lot of fun with hundreds of costumed preschoolers!

One of his favorite things - hammering golf tees into a pumpkin. He liked that best last year, too.

The Bee - whose name is officially changed to Busy Bee. All she wanted to do was to get down and take off. She has become a very fast crawler and can disappear pretty quickly - always under someone's feet! This morning she stood up by herself in the middle of the living room - seems like walking will be here very soon. I have the feeling she may start running instead of walking, though!

Friday morning I took the kids in and we went in costume to the nursing home and to McDonalds with the daycare kids. We also stopped by Grandma's classroom where the kids were smothered by 24 third graders. Brenley kept reaching out and pinching their noses. Brody was pretty shy because they all wanted to touch him! We are checking out the Courtland Rec. party today, then trick or treating in New Ulm and Lake Crystal tomorrow. Have to say they have will have gotten good wear out of these costumes!

Dinosaur Back

Got a request to see the back of the dinosaur, so here it is:). It is the cutest part!

The Corn Maze

On Thursday we met all of the Browns and Aunt Mary Ellen at the corn maze in Shakopee. It was freezing when we got there, but became a really nice day.

The whole crew, except Mom, who was taking the picture, and Brody, Brenley, and me who are at the back of the pack:).

There was a big petting zoo with some unusual animals.

Crazy boy! It was lots of fun, even though it's a little expensive!

Fun with Nate and Heidi

After the maze we went to Nate and Heidi's house. The girls (Heidi, Mom, Brenley, and I) went crib and bedding shopping for Baby Jones. Bren sat in the cribs for us to tell us which one she liked best. Nate and Brody went over by the airport to watch the big planes take off and land, and then to a fun park to play. We had dinner at their house before putting the kids in jammies and heading home.

Fall Pics - take 2

Brody likes to help Grandma when she is taking pictures. He worked in the morning getting ready for the Johnsons to come, took care of the suckers during the pictures, and found Grandma's lens cap where she left it in the pumpkin patch. The only part he doesn't like real well is having his own picture taken! Third time's a charm?

Picking Corn

Brody got to work with Grandpa for a while on Saturday. He loves to ride and would go every day if he could. He is waiting for Grandpa to come and pick the corn at our house this week. Brenley didn't get to ride, but she got an ear of corn.

FIELD TRIP

 

Brody and Brenley's daycare friends took a field trip on Friday to our house! They played on the gator, tractor and 4-wheeler and each picked a pumpkin to take home. Brody was so excited that Shelly and his friends were at his house, he has asked over and over again for them to come back! 

The pictures aren't fabulous but trying to get 7 kids- ages 5 and under- to look at the camera is a challenge!
