Brody is 3!

Oh, wait, he's been 3 for quite a while! We have been waiting for a nice, unbusy day to try to get some three year pictures of Brody. Grandma "hired" him to pose for them today, and while it wasn't exactly easy, we did get some cute shots. It still wasn't as nice as we were hoping for, and Brody said he was "told" when we kept telling him to take his hands out of his "farmer man" pants.

Sunday Fun

 

While we were taking pictures of Olive this morning, Brody was entertaining his friend, Noelle, who came with her Grandma to the photoshoot.

 

 The rain started the minute we were done with pictures. Brenley decided she really wanted to play in the rain.

 

Soaking wet!

 

Warming up in the shower. About half an hour later she went outside in her rain boots and stomped in the puddles until she fell down and got wet and muddy from head to toe. She's quite the girl!

Checkup at Children's

 

Brenley had another good check up at Children's. Her playing hide-and-seek was the most exciting part of the appointment. Her doctor wishes all his patients were as boring as Brenley. Even though she is boring, they still want us to come back in October/November and discuss the plan to get her through another viral season. The doctor said once she is 5 he will be able to say for sure she doesn't have asthma. The RSV she had at 10 days old could have long lasting effects, but at this point we have seen no signs that Brenley has or will develop asthma. Guess we will wait and see, the trip to the cities every 5-6 months seems pointless, but we usually add a trip to the Mall of America, which makes it all worth it!

Happy Mother's Day!

Preschool Open House

 

After the circus, we met Grandpa and Grandma. Grandpa took Brenley home. Brody, Ryan, Grandma, and I went to Open House at the MLC preschool where Brody is registered to go this fall. Brody told Mrs. B his name, and we spent an hour looking around. He's pretty excited to go. The hard part will be waiting until fall!

Circus!

 

We took the kids to the circus this afternoon. They were good - Brenley even lasted the hour and a half! She said "Hi" and "bye" to every act. Brody's favorites were the elephants and the lions. Brody and I took an elephant ride, while Brenley rode a pony.

Claire's Party

 

Claire had her 6th birthday party at the Holiday Inn on Saturday. Lots of fun! Brody swam with a life jacket by himself for the first time. Looking forward to the pool up north. Brenley has been having some issues this weekend - teeth, we think. Anyway, she didn't get to go in the pool, and she was not happy about it! Happy birthday, Claire!
