Grandma's Day

Brenley stayed with Grandma while we went to Madagascar on Saturday. They had fun watching cartoons,
playing with Darby,
reading books,
and going to town. Grandma took her to Walmart and McDonald's where she said, "Hi," and "Love you" to everyone she saw. Good thing only Grandma knew she was saying the "love you" part!

WeEkeNd!

We had a fun filled weekend! Saturday, Ryan and I took Brody to Madagascar Live! at the Orpheum. It was a great show and we all enjoyed it. Brody also got a special lunch at Chuck E Cheese on the way home. Today we celebrated Kaya's 3rd Birthday! It made Brody even more excited for his Birthday, and he even thought he might want purple cupcakes with flowers and butterflies:) We ended the day with a stop at Menards to pick out a swingset from Grandma and Grandpa. Brody was ready to play on it the minute we got home. Little does he know, it could be awhile before we find the time to assemble the darn thing! None-the-less, he will love it when its ready (and his sister will too). No pictures for now, Grandma may have some from her camera but Nate and Heidi are borrowing our camera (grandma's old one) for awhile to capture Henry's first moments. I am quite certain he isn't going to stop being cute anytime soon, so it may be awhile before we get the camera back;)

Play Lab

Daddy had a dart tournament all day, so we met Grandma at the Play Lab in Mankato. We had a tip to get there early, and we were the first ones in the door. The kids got to play for a while before it got really busy.

Brody loved the farm and the boat.

It's really kid-friendly even for Bren's age. Budding musician?

Or actress?

Of course, what she does best - on the phone!

Brody in the tape maze. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

Doctor Visits

Before I forget to add it- Brenley had her 15 month check up back on the 10th of March. Its been a busy couple of weeks. She weighed in at 20 lbs 12 oz (19th percentile) and was 29 inches (13th percentile). Once again she was not a fan of the shots, but the Dr. said she looked just perfect!
Fast forward til today when we are back at the pediatrician's office where we find out Brenley has a double ear infection. Poor girl, I wasn't sure but she had been tugging at her ears a bit and running just a low-grade temp. Glad I went with my instinct and had them checked out. She didn't make it quite as long as Brody did without an ear infection- but nearly 16 months is still something to be proud of. Lets hope those stinky ear infections don't plan to make up for lost time.

Introducing Henry David

Henry David Jones joined the family at 6:21am on Saturday. He couldn't be cuter!

I went up Friday night with my mom and dad. Ryan brought the kids up on Saturday. Brody was in a hurry to get there - he told Ryan to "Drive faster, Daddy". He liked Henry a lot and wants him to come to his house. He also says he wants his own boy baby!

Farm Show

We made our annual trip to the Farm Show on Friday night. It doesn't look like Bren is too happy with Brody's driving!

The animals are always the favorite. Probably should add a disclaimer, "No animals were injured during these photos".
Brody wasn't quite as aggressive as Brenley. He did like holding the bunny, though.
She definitely needed a lot of supervision:).

Last Swimming Lesson

Don't know what we will do at 7:30 on Saturday mornings when we don't have to go to swimming lessons! Despite the early hours, both of the kids really enjoyed it. Brenley wasn't real crazy about the life jacket practice, though.
And the big slide wasn't her favorite, either.
This is more like it.

Don't peak while they hide the buried treasure.

Brody even went down the big slide with his teacher.

His "passing" certificate.
