9 Months Old!

Brenley Elizabeth is 9 months old (tomorrow)! She crawls faster and faster every day and can pull herself up on almost anything. She tries to balance without holding on to anything for a few seconds and is starting to walk behind push toys. She loves her brother but is quick to let everyone know when she has had enough of him. Mommy is still her favorite! She starts back at daycare full time tomorrow and after going one day last week, we just know she is going to love it there. If there is one area Ms. B could improve a little it would be her sleeping. She still does not sleep through the night (up 1-2 times usually) and I just don't have the strength to let her cry! I know we will have to eventually but she is more than likely our last baby so I am in no rush. She can stay a baby a little longer.  We love her so much and she really makes our family complete. Ok enough talk, here are some pictures!!

For Brenley's 9 month pictures we went to studio a la Grandma!! By the looks of these pictures she is going to need to come up with a better name because people are going to be calling her to book appointments. THANKS GRANDMA!!

Here is the other kid we love so much. Kind enough to let Grandma practice some pictures on him before the model was ready!

Playtime

Dee and Wint's grandchildren, Carson and Abby came over to play today. The kids played so well together and had a lot of fun.

Hmm.... wonder what they did with Carson?

Brenley was there, too. She enjoys watching the kids play and before we know it, she'll be running with the rest of them:).

Look Out, World!

This little girl is on the move. She has been getting around for the last few weeks, but this past week she has really taken off.

She crawls everywhere, pulls herself up on everything, and is walking around things.

Today she pulled herself to a stand by Brody's picnic table and then put her foot up on the bench and tried to climb up it! Here she is hanging out in the slide/fort. We are busy toddler-proofing about one step behind her:).

Vacation!

This week we went on our annual vacation to Lake Winnibigosh. Family on my Grandma Meredith's side have been doing this week for over 40 years now. Ryan wasn't able to go with us because he used all of his vacation when Brenley was sick, so I was a little worried about taking the kids by myself for the week, but everything went well and we had a great time.

We needed a stretch on the way and stopped at the kneeling Paul Bunyan statue in Akely. In typical 2 year old thinking (I hope!), when Brody got down he walked around the statue, stopped and said, "Whoa - big butt!". He quickly added, "Not poopin".

This is the whole crew minus four from Mississippi who weren't there yet, my mom who is taking the picture, and Claire, who didn't want to be in it:). The first picture everyone was told to say "cheese". Now Heidi is telling everyone for this one to say "Heidi's pregnant"! We are so excited for a new baby! Congratulations, Nate and Heidi!

The kids spent a lot of time at the playground. It was fun to watch Brody play with all the kids while the adults just watched. He is such a monkey, scampering to the top of the slide saying "NO help me".

This is Winnie, the resort dog. She makes the rounds of all the cabins looking for treats, and is so gentle with all of the kids.

Seems hard to believe with the summer we have had, but we were only able to get to the pool twice because it was too cold! Brenley liked it but didn't last too long. Brody was in a constant spasm from the cold air and the cold water, and of course, wanted all of Brenley's water toys.

There were 7 children in camp this year, including three 2 yr. olds! Made for some lively mealtimes, but breakfasts in Cabin 8 were still a pretty calm time of day.

Tuesday afternoon brought the fishing contest. Despite lots of help and cheering fans on shore, Brody didn't catch a fish. We'll get 'em next year!

Brody had to wait until Thursday to get his boat ride, but it was worth the wait. With all the golf cart and gator driving he has done this summer, he was actually able to drive the boat through the weedy channels. Brenley needed a little more help - and yes, she did have a life jacket, but it was just way too uncomfortable so I took it off.

Looking back at the week, I can see why we had to come home to get some rest, but can't wait until next year!

Hangin' Out

Brody, Brenley, and Everett played at my mom's this morning.

Watching cartoons.

Playing Legos.

Three in the chair - and no, that's not Donald Trump with the combover - just a baby who needs a little trim - see next post!

Haircuts!

Brody and Brenley both got haircuts today. Brody always sits really good for his haircut and told her yes when she asked him if he wanted her to spike it up when she was finished.

Checking out his new look.

Brenley wasn't quite as thrilled, but she did get her bangs shortened and thinned a little :).

Ready for Vacation

Brody is practicing his casting for our vacation at the lake next week.

Got it!
