Catch Up!

I ran out of space on my blogger account a few weeks ago, so there has been a delay in the blog posts! The 4th was fun, as usual, but WAY too HOT! Between the heat and the bugs, we had to work at having a good time.

Duck Days 2012

The first celebration of summer, Duck Days, has come and gone! Brody enjoyed a Warhead at the parade.

The crowd at Taid's for potluck and parade.

Playing in the corn pile at the park.

The inflatable obstacle course.

Brody was so excited for the turtle races. This normally shy with strangers boy was asking teenage girls if they wanted to see his turtle! The Nordbys did well in the races, with Brenley and Bayler placing first and third in the 0-3 age group, and Brody taking second in the 4-6 group!

This one can speak for itself!

Yellow Tiger

Brody started T-Ball last night in Courtland. He is on the yellow tiger team.
The evening starts with a little warming up.

nice form, buddy!

Up to bat. He made contact with the ball every time. Now we need to work on dropping the bat and RUNNING to first base, rather than galloping:)

Brody wanted daddy by him most of the time, but he did get braver as the night went on. Helps that Everett is also a yellow tiger!
Here's to many more Monday nights at the ballpark

Last day at Shelly's

The kids had their last day at Shelly's on Friday. It was sad to leave a place we were so comfortable with and ever more sad for the kids to leave such great friends! We will certainly keep in touch with Shelly and her daycare crew.
Starting tomorrow, all three will be starting a new daycare, but with some old friends!! And even better, now that Grandma is  officially retired she will watching the kids a couple days a week as well.

Wee Ones

My friend Casey was in town Saturday evening so we got together for a playdate at Ashley's. There were 7 kids in all and while the older 4 were busy playing (and Brenley, the only "older" girl, was busy crying anytime the boys upset her) the babies posed for a quick picture. Harlow is 11 days old, Reese is 3 months old, and then there is Bayler! Come August, Casey will add another baby girl to this picture. Hopefully Bayler doesn't make all these little girls cry in the years to come:)

Sporties 4 Shorties

Brody has been taking a class through Park and Rec called Sporties 4 Shorties! Its for 4-6 year olds and it allow them to experience a variety of sports without committing to a full season. We've done soccer, basketball and hockey (ice and floor). Yet to come this week is t-ball! So far Brody has decided he doesn't really care for soccer (kind of surprised me, because he is so fast!) He did really enjoy hockey...not sure I am ready to commit to that yet!
A little wobbly at first

Listening to the teacher

Still a little unsure of himself

Getting braver!

By the end of the class he was brave enough to skate without his walker!

I've been really impressed with this class, and recommend it for all the little people!

Potty Party!

Guess who went potty in the toilet twice at home and twice at daycare today?
Time for a potty party.
Bust out the bubbles!

This guy just loves being outside and where the kids are.
Ice cream and a new princess doll! (We won't mention the 5 pairs of "unnies" she went through in 20 minutes, but at least it's a start!)
