BIG NIGHT

This little guy is having a big night. He is testing out his crib for the very first time! As I was getting his room ready I realized I haven't posted any pictures of it yet. It doesn't have all the finishing touches, but you get the picture!

Forest Animal Bedding

Hmm, my letters appear to need some work. Is it the L or the E that looks off?

Don't mind the clutter on the changing table- it is mostly being used for storage at this point!

My computer was being super slow uploading this evening, and in the time it took to post this, Bayler slept about twenty minutes in his crib. Its a start, right:)

Bayler- 4 months

Bayler had his 4 month check up today. Pictures will probably come closer to 5 months:)
He was 14 lbs 14 oz (35th percentile) and 25 inches (38th percentile). I was a little surprised, he seems bigger to me and you would really think he has grown more than 2.75 inches since birth! Really makes me think that 22.25 inches he was born at was a bit of a stretch!!
Doctor said he looks perfect and was amazed at how content he was. Barely made a peep even with two shots.

VALENTINE'S DAY

The kids had a great Valentine's Day. Thank you to Mary Ellen, Grammy Tammy, Grandma and Grandpa, Papa Jones and John and Janice for all the Valentine's!!
Brenley got an extra special Valentine at ECFE that night. A flower from Paxton!! She was the luckiest girl at school and she made sure to show her daddy and brothers her special gift. She was very proud of her flower and even thought it smelled pretty good:)

ALMOST

Brenley got her first experience with a toddler bed today. She was pretty excited watching daddy take apart her crib and put it together. Nap time didn't go to smoothly and she ended up on the coach. Bedtime was looking ugly and as of 8:20 tonight, she is back in her crib. Not quite ready for the freedom that comes with a toddler bed yet!
Daddy and Grandpa will learn to get Mommy's approval before making any major decisions again.

What have we been up to?

Brenley is a girl that literally bounces instead of walks. She has dabbled with wearing undies, but has yet to dabble with going on the toilet. At just over 2 years old she is loving Mickey Mouse, Little Einstens, Dora and TinkerBell. She will talk anybody's ear off and is pretty outgoing even in new situations. She will be starting ECFE classes this week and we are looking at gymnastics or dance in the spring. Despite all the great things about her, she is most certainly two and most certainly a girl. She hollers at Brody, puts the dog in time out and can pout with the best of them.
Brody has been really enjoying preschool at MLC. His newest skill is writing his name! He had a great time filling out his Valentine's for classmates just sometimes forgetting that his letters need to go in a certain order to spell his name:) He is also loving his Wii he got for Christmas...almost to the point where we need to have an intervention...seriously. He still gets to see his daycare buddies two days a week at Shelly's. And, like his daddy, has been kind of disappointed in the lack of snow this winter.
And then there's Bayler. He continues to be the best baby that has ever lived under this roof. I sometimes forget he is here! He has started to get interested in toys, mostly the ones he can get in his mouth. He likes to sit in the bumbo or swing and really still loves his rainforest bouncy seat. He is mostly a good sleeper, just waking once to eat around 3:30-4 but does have a few nights where its more often or where he just wants to be awake. We've heard a few giggles from him and hardly ever hear him cry. Thank you Bayler!

Another Saturday at the pool

Brenley was the only person to show up for her class on Saturday. Picking up all the ducks was a big job for one little girl.

So they let Brody come in to help her. Here he is showing her how to blow bubbles.

Practicing kicks

Jumping in

Little brother enjoying the show

They each did the slide about ten times.

Brody stayed for his class too, and he is lucky he did. They got to go down the big slide

With his teacher after the big slide

Better late...
